Michael Mansouri joins Avalon Technology to lead Global Market Expansion

(Avalon), a provider of full lifecycle single-source mobile computing and communications solutions, today announced it has named Michael Mansouri as Avalon’s Chairman of the Board. Mr. Mansouri is commissioned with guiding the company through its next high-growth phase and expanding Avalon’s mobile and security practices into key market segments worldwide.
Mansouri is a veteran senior executive with more than 25 years experience in the global data communications and information systems industries. Most recently, as President and CEO of OmniTrust Security Systems, Mansouri established the company as an internationally recognized leader and negotiated its sale to Heisei Denden of Japan.
Prior to OmniTrust, as Chairman and CEO of iPass, Mansouri quadrupled the company’s revenue in less than 3 years and initiated the industry’s first wireline and wireless global broadband offering with Cisco partnership, and raised $75 million in VC and strategic funding which resulted in successful IPO in 2003. “We are thrilled to have Mr. Mansouri as a part of our winning team at Avalon,” said Irv Rodrigues, President and CEO of Avalon. “Mr. Mansouri is a seasoned executive with proven industry experience.
