Korea Telecom to Increase Deployment to 40,000 Employees
MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA (July 6, 2004) ? OmniTrustTm Security Systems, Inc., a leading provider of content security services, and its master reseller in Korea, M3 Tech, a provider of security technologies and consulting services, announced today that M3 Tech was selected by Korea Telecom to provide an enterprise-wide document security system solution and email protection system. Using the Trustee document security technology, employees of Korea Telecom are now able to secure the ongoing use and distribution of internal documents and email messages.

Trustee for Portals’` enables Korea Telecom to secure documents and files stored on and retrieved from their document management system, GroupWare system and electronic library document systems. The Trustee administration tool enables the company to set policies for different sets of content and users. Korea Telecom can limit or restrict a user’s ability to view, print or forward sensitive materials, as well as provide protection against remote desktop sharing applications and screen capturing programs. A comprehensive audit trail enables the company to view all attempted and completed operations on protected content.

“After thoroughly evaluating several security solutions for the past six months, Korea Telecom concluded that the M3 Tech security solution was the only one that could provide them with the level of protection they required that could be deployed in a non-intrusive manner,” said Mr. Lee., CEO of M3 Tech. “In addition, the system offers a unique, high-availability load balanced solution that allows Korea Telecom to easily set policies for their entire enterprise.”

Korea Telecom also implemented a related solution from M3 Tech that provides powerful protection of email messages and attachments. Trustee for Email’ was integrated into their existing email system and extended its functionality by giving message originators complete control over how email can be handled and re?distributed by recipients.

The first phase of the Trustee solution was deployed to 9,11110 users earlier this year and is planned to increase up to 40,000 users. “We have seen a significant rate of adoption for this technology in Korea among large scale enterprises such as Korea Telecom. The need for a comprehensive content security solution has never been greater,” continued Mr. Lee. “In response, we have expanded our sales and marketing efforts significantly in order to accommodate the ongoing security needs of the business community.

“Korea Telecom is the perfect example of the many enterprises today that require secure communications both internally and externally,” said Michael Mansouri, president and CEO of Omni Trust Security Systems, Inc. “Working together with M3 Tech and our 70+ partners throughout the world, OnmiTrust is confident that we will continue to provide companies like Korea Telecom with the most advanced content security technologies available that will enable them to secure their electronic communications today and for many years to come.”
