An Experienced Corporate Leader
Mansouri began his career at Silicon Valley based Tymshare/Tymnet and then Sprint International, where he held a host of senior management positions over a 10-year period concluding with leading the MultiMedia team as Executive Director as part of completing formation of Global One a joint venture between Sprint International, Deutsche Telekom and France Telecom. He then moved to American Communications Services Inc (ACSI) a publicly held integrated communications provider as Executive Vice President and General Manager for Advanced Data Services. As part of executive team, raised $175 million. He built ACSI’s data services from ground up and launched industry’s first ATM data services. Switching to Intermedia Communications, he was responsible for $60 million data division and enhanced data services and lead the acquisition of Digex. The stock grew from previously flat $14 to $83 in 12 months post acquisition in 1998. He became COO of Broadband Services at Teleglobe Business Solutions.
A Respected Industry Player
Between 1999 and 2001, Mansouri served as chairman, president and CEO of iPass Inc., a premier provider of global remote access services. During these two years, Mansouri grew the company from nearly $3 million in revenues to more than $50 million with over 300 professionals. Mansouri also raised $75 million during his tenure at iPass; key investors included Cisco, Equant, Comdisco, Rogers Communications, Intel, Sandhill Capital, Crosspoint, Accel and Asia Pacific Ventures. Under his leadership, iPass was selected by Computerworld magazine as one of the “Top 100 Emerging Companies to Watch”. In 2003, iPass completed one of the most successful IPOs of the year for $1.8 billion.
Mansouri joined OmniTrust Security Systems, a leading provider of IT content security software, as president and CEO in 2002. The VC-backed company was selected by Nomura Research Institute (NRI), one of Japan’s largest system integrators, as its exclusive security-solution provider and strategic investor. In 2005 OmniTrust was sold by Mansouri to Heisei Denden of Japan.
In 2006 Mansouri joined Advisory Board of Avalon Technology Inc (ATI) a leading provider of managed mobility solutions, telecom expense management, and cyber security services. In 2008 he formed and co-founded Avalon Global Solution (AGS) by merging ATI with Net Results Group a leading provider of communications management services and software. The company purchased Comstructure a leading provider of telecom services on the west coast. Through this acquisition, AGS became one industry leaders with over 100,000 mobile devices under management. AGS offers a unique and differentiated business process outsourcing capability in the market, and has over 70 major government and commercial accounts. The company was self-funded and reached profitability with nearly 100 professionals located in the DC metropolitan area, Virginia, Michigan, North Carolina, Florida, and California. The company was sold to WidePoint Corporation (NYSE Amex: WYY) in December 2012. Mr. Mansouri served as Chief Executive Officer of Widepoint Communications Corp until early 2014 when his contractual obligation was completed. In 2015, Mr. Mansouri served as President and CEO of Spikes Security an innovation leader leveraging SpaceX technology of isolation software to protect end user devices from malware to the US government, media, and financial services sectors. The company was merged with Aurionpro Identify and Access management forming Cyberinc, Mansouri served as the CEO and Director through 2018. In 2018, Mansouri served as Chairman and CEO of Maya Global Solutions, previously InSpeed Networks, a leading provider of Service Access Service Edge (SASE) technology leader providing SaaS based solutions for network optimization, monitoring, and security.
Mr. Mansouri is involved in multiple VC investment funds in technology and serves on advisory boards of several startup companies in cyber security, government services, data management, and voice/data networking.
